PROCESS SELECTION
Consider it alongside conventional die casting, other casting routes and machining for loaded or pressure-sensitive parts. The process name alone is not a guarantee of strength, leak tightness or zero porosity.
FROM DRAWING TO FINISHED PART
Identify load cases, pressure boundaries, critical wall sections, alloy and specified mechanical properties.
Review fill path, pressure transfer, section transitions and the way the part can be ejected and trimmed.
The route applies pressure during solidification. Establish the relevant pressure, timing and thermal controls for the specific tool and part.
Define heat treatment only where applicable to the alloy and qualified route; machine and finish the functional interfaces.
Select internal-quality, dimensional, mechanical and leakage checks to match the part requirements and specimen condition.
WHAT NEEDS CONTROL
The drawing and order define the applicable controls; inspection methods are selected for the requirement rather than applied indiscriminately.

DETAILS THAT CHANGE THE QUOTATION
Do not assume one heat-treatment condition suits every casting route or alloy. Include the required condition in the technical review.
Specify what the sample must demonstrate: dimensions alone cannot validate a structural or pressure-boundary requirement.
Compare tooling, yield, secondary operations and required inspection together rather than selecting on casting unit price alone.
